Review: Ally's All-Day Breakfast Place
Thanks to last year's Maginhawa Food Festival (which turned out to be a logistical nightmare!), we finally got to try the breakfast experience that is Ally's. We ordered the What Diet, which consists of Hungarian sausages, bacon strips, French fries, breakfast rice, and triple chocolate waffles. Carbs on carbs on carbs on carbs, am I right? So do your heart a favor and bring a friend (or a date who won't judge your appetite!) when you eat here.
Ally's All-Day Breakfast Place, with their hefty servings, promises great food (read: fluffy pancakes) without the need to rush your wallet to the ER afterwards. You're gonna love their bacon-- juicy but not soggy. As for their pancakes and waffles, ask that the ice cream and syrup be served on the side. It tastes much better that way, I promise.
The place is a bit small so it might take a while for you to be seated. Don't worry, it's totally worth the wait. I love that it's decorated in a way that reminds us how mornings are supposed to be -- sunny and optimistic. Overall, thousands of calories were happily consumed that night and I have no regrets (just love!).
